Neymar will be out with a thigh injury for four weeks with Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil forward.
Neymar limped off on Sunday in Singapore for 12 minutes in Brazil’s 1-1 friendly draw with Nigeria.
Since having undergone scans, the French champions announced the severity of Neymar’s injury on Monday and said he would be re-evaluated within eight days.
According to the initial estimate, Neymar will miss six matches for PSG, including home and away matches against the Champions League’s Club Brugge as well as rival Marseille’s visit to the league.
This means the most valuable player in the world will be back in time to participate in the group-stage trip to Real Madrid in PSG’s Champions League. Without the Brazilian, who was disqualified, they won 3-0 at home.
PSG has also reported that Kylian Mbappe continues with his treatment “positively.” Since August 25, when he had a thigh problem, France International has not featured.
